My wife and I had a great time with Orlando and felt like friends throughout. It was a drizzly day and the three of us didn't let that affect a thing. We saw so much of Porto and Orlando oriented us for a great rest of our time afterwards. Hidden gems for sure, all of the main places pointed out, things he'd suggest going back to or avoid. Honest conversations about Porto, tourism, changes over time, and his one trip to the US to Orlando of all places. One of the churches reopened later in the day and he spent extra time with us to go see it on the back end. Also, he provided a map at the end and used a highlighter to show up exactly where we walked, where we stopped, things to go back to with more time. Loved all of that and felt like we made a friend in Porto. We thoroughly enjoyed our walking tour with Orlando, who was a warm and welcoming Porto resident with a great sense of humour and amazing knowledge of local and national history. It made such a difference being shown round Porto with someone who is so knowledgeable and proud of their home town (and football team!!). It's rare to find great people, and it's even rare to find them online, when you are looking for a city guide. Orlando is passionate, super knowledgeable and a true professional. We were traveling with our 3.5 yr old son, and he immediately customized the tour for us without even us asking. He made sure we saw the key things in the city and explained to us the history. He answered some of our deep rooted European history questions that ChatGPT couldn't have answered. He was concerned that our kid wasn't feeling well, and went above and beyond to make sure we found the right hospital for children. We are so super thankful that we met Orlando! Orlando was a very friendly and resourceful guide, who made our experience beyond great! We were pleased by his understanding, since we had a small problem with entering our Airbnb and he rearranged the time of the tour. The tour took a little over three hours and had a great mix of majestic places, hidden gems and tons of historical information about Portugal and Porto. A fun day exploring Douro Valley. We had a great day with Orlando! He was a lovely and engaging host and by the end of the our tour we felt like old friends. The tour itself had a nice flow, boat ride, lunch, tasting at a winery with a great/funny guide. We also stopped in a cute town on the way home for some ham and wine, which turned out to be an unexpected highlight. All in all, would definitely book Orlando again if I find myself back in this awesome city.

My wife and I got a tour of Porto’s highlights from Orlando yesterday. He was extremely knowledgeable about the history, architecture and people of Porto. In addition, he had a great sense of humor and was willing to share his opinions on things rather than providing answers that contained no substance. It was a walking tour, which we like, and we sat a number of times where Orlando brought up interesting facts about the particular area where we currently were. From my perspective, the place I enjoyed the most was the Bank of Building Materials, a truly unique place that allows people in Porto to blend in the history of Porto with the current and future state if the City. There were additional places to see, things to do and restaurants that Orlando recommended to us for the remainder of our stay in Porto. Perhaps more importantly, he also mentioned things not to do that were not worth the time and/or money spent during our brief stay in his wonderful city. All in all, we strongly recommend Orlando to provide his guide services during your time in Porto. Great guy and it was a great experience for us!

Orlando is awesome. He was so generous, he picked us up in his personal vehicle at the entrance to our cruise terminal. He then drove us to a centrally located point of the city for us to begin our walking tour. Orlando is personable and has a great sense of humor. His knowledge of the history, architecture, and secret gems of Porto is exceptional. We were so fascinated by his stories. We learned about the cultural, historical, and social aspects of Porto. Orlando knows the city extremely well and we used the hidden stairways and shortcuts between buildings to get to the next street level. Be prepared to use your legs muscles. Porto is steep. The winding stairways from one level to the next are fascinating and have been there for centuries! What other way to climb a mountain! The views are also breathtaking. Don’t miss the modern kiosks in the McDonalds with crystal chandeliers and art in relief on the walls – wow. Orlando also accommodated my request to visit an antique mall prior to our drive back to the ship. If you want the BEST tour guide of Porto, look no further. Orlando is fantastic. Orlando knows the secret gems of Porto.

We booked a day trip to the Douro Valley with Orlando. Our day included a one hour boat ride on the Douro River, lunch and then a tour & port tasting at a beautiful winery. When we booked the day trip we asked if we could add a visit to a second winery. Orlando brought us to a small family-run winery where we had an excellent tour and tasting. Orlando met us at the appointed time and proceeded to spend several hours taking us around Porto telling us about the history of Porto and pointing out historical landmarks and buildings. About half way through the tour we stopped for a port wine tasting which Orlando provided along with a local pastry and they were both very good. We asked Orlando many questions regarding Porto and the locals and he answered all the questions we posed to him whether be historical or current events. Orlando has a very easy going manner and provided us with a very nice tour of the city along with interesting historical facts and it is evident he is very knowledgeable about the subject. If you find yourself in Porto for a day or two we would highly recommend seeking out Orlando for a nice tour.

It was a wonderful experience having this full day trip with him. Orlando organised everything perfectly and took care of every little thing so that everything went smoothly. We went on a fascinating route through the Douro vineyards, had a picturesque and refreshing boat cruise, and then a delightful lunch in the restaurant picked by Orlando. Afterwards, we had an opportunity to visit a vineyard, and to have a tour there followed by the tasting of port wines. We stopped on the route a few times to make photos in particularly beautiful places. All the time Orlando was taking great care of us, making sure that we are happy and satisfied. First off - due to the fact that we were in Porto for 4 days already, Orlando met a couple that had seen quite a bit of the city. So we met and started the tour right off. He explained what we would do and lots of general information about Portugal and porto. Me and my girlfriend were very impressed.
